The rules that govern use of the Vakil Now platform.

By downloading or using Vakil Now, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are governed by the laws of India and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Haryana, India.
Vakil Now is a technology platform that connects clients seeking legal assistance with advocates. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice ourselves. The advocates on our platform are independent professionals responsible for their own services.
Advocates on Vakil Now must hold a valid bar council registration, maintain their profile information accurately, honour confirmed appointments, and conduct themselves professionally at all times. Misleading clients, providing false credentials, or engaging in unprofessional conduct is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
Clients must use the platform in good faith, attend confirmed appointments or cancel with reasonable notice (minimum 2 hours prior), and not misuse the review system. Fake reviews, harassment of advocates, or abuse of the points system is grounds for account suspension.
Vakil Now operates a points-based system for certain features. Points have no monetary value, cannot be withdrawn as cash, and are non-transferable. Vakil Now reserves the right to adjust point balances in cases of fraud or abuse, and to modify the points system at any time with notice.
Consultation fees are set by advocates and clearly displayed before booking. Payment is processed by Razorpay. Vakil Now does not hold client funds and is not responsible for payment disputes between clients and advocates. Refunds are subject to the advocate's cancellation policy.
Vakil Now provides a platform to facilitate connections between clients and advocates. We are not liable for the quality of legal services provided by advocates, the outcome of any legal matter, or any disputes between clients and advocates. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
The Vakil Now name, logo, and all platform content are owned by Vakil Now. Advocates retain ownership of articles and content they publish. You grant Vakil Now a licence to display your profile and content on the platform.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or harm the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations arising before the termination date.
We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of Vakil Now after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
